ICT:

SOCIAL & ETHICAL

protocols & practices

Budd:e

https://budd-e.cybersmart.gov.au

This resource was developed as an interactive tool where students 'learn by doing' about cyber security. The goal of the resource is to educate students about online risks and potential consequences by

exploring security practices for people, devices and personal information/data.

Budd:E is free to run, though it requires Adobe Flash Player, only accessible from computers and or android devices (i.e. not iPad/iPhone). This software has been in steady decline for years, suggesting Budd:e is due for a makeover.

This resource was designed for students in Years 7 and 8, and has clear learning outcomes referenced to each state and territory's curriculum prior to the 2013-2015 Australian Curriculum release. Budd:e, (along with all of the Cybersecurity Education Modules) complies with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992, designed to be accessible by people of all abilities.

This resource is outdated, and underwhelming when compared with Common Sense Media's Digital Citizenship' resources.
