Made with Code is a Google initiative designed to inspire more girls to study Computer Science and close the gender gap in the technology industry. The website offers numerous resources and projects to engage students in learning how to code and build something of interest to them. At least 6 different contributors apart from Google provide linked resources and projects for girls to connect with. Project types are vast and diverse: from designing an LED Zac Zac Posen dress, making mobile apps with App Inventor, coding a music mix and choreographing a digital dance, and making a "meme" using HTML.
This free resource will run on any platform or mobile device, for any student interested in investigating ICT idea generation, processes and solutions in coding.
Made with Code is an exciting and dynamic resource that could be integrated into any school, family or social group with the aim of encouraging girls to dream big in digital technologies.
